T-Bone Steak

A T-bone steak has a bone that is shaped in a distinctive "T". Where the three points of the T meet in the middle is where you can usually find a yellowish substance called bone marrow, It is palish and has a grainy texture but can be squished under the finger.

Rump Steak

Last weekend, I had a rump steak. My favourite way of cooking steak is medium-rare, it tastes more juicy than the well done but is less juicy than the rare, somehow I cooked the steak in three different ways: rare, medium-rare and well done. The problem with the rump steak is that it can be tough and hard to chew but otherwise, this is one of the best steaks you can get.

Scotch Fillet

On the weekend, I had Scotch Fillet. It is also known as a rib-eye fillet because it is a cut from the top of the rib. The rib is on the top of the cow so it isn't hard to get to. The fillet can be cut bone-in or boneless. You would think the cuts are identical as they are the same type if steak. They are not identical, the bone-in is said to inflate its weight and the boneless would give you a nice juicy steak on the barbie.

Location Affecting Taste?

You're probably wondering from my title what I mean. Believe it or not, where a cow comes from affects how its steak tastes. If a cow was treated very well and was put in the best conditions it could have, it would tastw like the best meat you've ever eaten. If a cow was treated really badly and lived in a muddy paddock with no grass and muddy grains for food, it would taste terrible.

It really all depends on how you treat the cow prior to when you cut it up.

Grass-Fed or Grain-Fed

Some people would agree that grass-fed is best. Some people would say that grain-fed is best.most people wouldn't know what to pick. here are some facts about each different type. Grass-fed has many different variables. There could be different hormones. there could be different pesticides. There could be different weather patterns. Grain-fed is a lot different from that. Most grains are the same type. Most grains have the same pesticides and hormones on them. As you can see, grain fed is a lot more reliable.

Steaks

A steak is a cut of meat that is usually beef. Most steaks are cut perpendicular to muscles so that the meat is tenderest. In Northern America steaks are usually grilled, pan-fried or broiled. The rib steak is one of the most tenderest and will cook faster than say the rump steak.

T-Bone Steaks

Today I found out that T-Bone steaks have 20g of protein. Sadly I also found out that these steaks have the same amount of fat as they do protein.
